Deap Vally at Mohawk on March 20

Announcing their decision to disband, blues-rock duo Deap Vally made an Instagram post sharing that they will embark on their farewell tour later this year. The ‘Deep Vally Live for the Last Time Farewell Tour’ will travel across North America and stop in Austin, TX, on March 20thThe band will take the stage at Mohawk at 8 p.m. and will offer VIP meet-and-greet tickets to say goodbye to fans. 

 

Formed in Los Angeles in 2011 by guitarist Lindsey Troy and drummer Julie Edwards, Deap Vally quickly gained recognition for their raw and energetic sound. Signed to Island Records a year later, the duo achieved critical success with their debut album, Sistrionix. The band graced the festival circuit and supported acts like Muse and the Red Hot Chili Peppers before going independent in 2016. Deap Vally kept up their momentum by releasing subsequent albums to critical success from the likes of NME, Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, and BBC Radio 1, and have collaborated with GRAMMY Award-winning psych-rock band, The Flaming Lips. After joining other esteemed acts like Garbage and Blondie on tour, Deap Vally has clearly shown they have the chops to play amongst music legends.
