American singer-songwriter, Mitski, has announced a 2024 tour in support of her newest album, This Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We. She will be making a stop in Berkeley at The Greek Theatre on September 23 and 24.

With a career spanning over a decade, Mitski’s rise to fame was expedited in recent years due to many of her songs going viral on TikTok. The social media platform cannot be completely accredited however, as the 33 year old musician has connected with fans over the years through her very personal and intimate style of songwriting. Since 2012, she has released a total of seven studio albums, the most recent, This Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We, being among her most popular. The single, “My Love All Mine” charted at number 26 on the Billboard 200.

Mitski is notably a private person, having no personal social media presence and a challenging relationship with the most dedicated portions of her fanbase. She is vocally critical of the music industry and has expressed disdain for it within her music. Despite this, Mitski continues to create and share her music with the world, receiving widespread critical acclaim on all of her work.
