Olivia Rodrigo has to be one of the most successful artists, not only at a young age, but of this generation thus far. She was born on February 20th, 2003, in Murrieta, California and grew up in Temecula, California. At an early age, she began taking acting and singing lessons which influenced her to eventually take piano lessons. Rodrigo had her first taste of fame as an actress for her role in the TV show High School Music: The Musical – The Series (2019-2023), as Gina Porter. Before this role, she was cast as the lead, Grace Thomas, for the TV show Grace Stirs Up Success and later landed a role in Bizaardvark, as Paige Olvera.
After completing her last season on High School Music: The Musical – The Series, she released her debut studio album, SOUR, in 2021. Rodrigo’s album features eleven songs that have now amassed over 10 billion streams in total and five of those tracks – “traitor”, “drivers license”, “deja vu”, “good 4 u” and “happier” – collectively streamed close to 8 billion times on Spotify alone. For her generation, there may never be anyone of this caliber again because she achieved all this by the time she turned 19. Last year, she released her second studio album, GUTS, featuring twelve songs. Among them, “vampire”, “bad idea right?” and “get him back!” have become the most popular to date. Here’s a fun fact for any The Hunger Games fans, she recently wrote and performed a song for The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes entitled “Can’t Catch Me Now”.
Starting on February 23rd, Olivia Rodrigo will begin performing her GUTS World Tour in Palm Springs, California with special guests, Remi Wolf, Pink Pantheress, The Breeders and Chappell Roan. As she goes on tour to several cities throughout the U.S., one of her destinations will be in Philadephia, Pennsylvania at the Wells Fargo Center. On July 19th, her concert will begin at 7:30 pm and this event is one that you MUST arrive early for. We are talking thousands, potentially around 20,000 fans/music enthusiasts who will be there! Tickets are available, and the doors will be opening at 6:30 pm. As you make your way to the arena, we recommend listening to her previous album, SOUR, and then a few of her songs from GUTS to get a feel of the differences and similarities between both. One night with an artist as talented, successful, passionate and with what seems like decades filled with much more music to continue, this is just the beginning. Stay safe, arrive at the arena early and we hope you all have an unforgettable experience with the one and only, Olivia Rodrigo.
