Oliver Tree at the Fox Theater on Febraury 9

American musician, internet personality, and filmmaker, Oliver Tree, has announced the Alone In A Crowd Tour, in support of his new album of the same name. He will be making a stop in Oakland at the Fox Theater on February 9.

Oliver Tree Nickell, professionally known as Oliver Tree, is a 30 year old musician from Santa Cruz, California. Tree first gained notoriety for his music in 2016 following the success of his single, “When I’m Down,” and subsequent signing to Atlantic Records in 2017. He would continue to release successful singles throughout the following years and the Alien Boy EP in February 2018. Standing out among his contemporaries for his larger than life persona, iconic colorful wardrobe, and now infamous bowl cut, Tree not only garners attention from fans and critics, but other musicians as well, opening for a number of big names like Louis the Child and Hobo Johnson early on in his careers.

Tree has released a total of three studio albums during his short careers thus far, beginning with July 2020’s RIAA Gold certified, Ugly is Beautiful. He would follow-up the success of this project with February 2022’s, Cowboy Tears, and most recently, Alone in a Crowd, which came out in September. With each subsequent release, Oliver Tree only seems to get bigger. Serving as a voice for outcasts and oddballs alike, Tree’s music has struck a chord with fans of pop, rap, and internet music.
