Beck is coming to Philly! Beck is an American singer-songwriter born and raised in Los Angeles, California. His music has spanned over many genres throughout his career, including folk, funk, alternative rock and psychedelia. Over the span of his career he has released 14 studio albums. He found success beginning in the early 90s, with his single “Loser” that became a hit in 1994. He went on to have an impressive career afterwards, winning many awards such as the Brit Award for International Male Solo Artist in 1997, 1999 and 2000. He has a total of 8 Grammys, including Album of the Year for his 2015 album Morning Phase. He’s made many appearances on TV, including being the musical guest on Saturday Night Live in 2014.
Beck’s last album release was in 2019 with his album Hyperspace, however he has put out music as recently as June 2023 when he released a single “Odyssey” with French-pop rock band Phoenix. This has caused many to wonder if he plans to release a possible 15th album soon, but not much else has pointed to such a conclusion. Beck is heading out on tour this summer to perform with some orchestras in a few shows across America. He will be performing with the Philsdelphia Orchestra at the TD Pavilion at the Mann Center on July 25th!
