The Kooks at Terminal 5 on March 11

The Kooks are coming to Terminal 5 in NYC on March 11, supported by the Vaccines.

English pop-rock band, The Kooks, consists of vocalist/rhythm guitarist Luke Pritchard, lead guitarist/bassist Hugh Harris, and drummer Alexis Nunez. They formed in 2004, however, their music is primarily influenced by the 1960s British Invasion movement and post-punk revival of the new millennium. The Kooks are known to experiment with several other genres including rock, Britpop, pop, reggae, ska, funk, and hip-hop. According to a review by Tim Sendra of AllMusic, they are comparable to “a less severe Arctic Monkeys at times.”

Their debut album, Inside In/Inside Out, broke the band into the mainstream and was a massive success; achieving quadruple platinum status in the UK within a year.

The Kooks have listed the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, and Bob Dylan as being major influences on songwriting style and musical presentation across their discography.

The Vaccines will be supporting the Kooks throughout their North American Tour. They are an English indie-rock band, and they have sold two million records worldwide.
