The Black Lips have announced a special show celebrating New Years Eve. The show is set to take place on December 31 at the Lodge Room in Los Angeles, California.
The Lodge Room and Cretin Hop present Black Lips with special guests Escape-ism, Grave Flowers Bongo Band, Miranda and The Beat, and Cretin Hop DJs for “New Years With The Black Lips.” The show is set to close out 2023 with and welcome 2024 with a bang. The garage punk band are known for their live performances which include tons of provocative theatrics.
Still considered one of the best live bands around today, Black Lips were born of DIY ethic, working their way from sweaty basement shows in Georgia to huge crowds at international music festivals to tours in India, Jordan, Cyprus, Egypt, Lebanon, Iraqi Kurdistan, the United Arab Emirates, and more. Their latest album, Satan’s Graffiti or God’s Art? vindicates Black Lips for sticking it out through many years of shifting trends and buzz bands; it is considered one of the rawest and most expansive albums in the band’s storied history.
