Green Day has announced details for their 2024 tour! Global rock superstars Green Day – Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool – have officially shared details on their massive 2024 global stadium tour with support from with the illustrious rock luminaries The Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid, and The Linda Lindas in North America and Nothing But Thieves, The Hives, Donots, The Interrupters and Maid of Ace in the UK/EU. The Saviors Tour includes a stop at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California on Saturday, September 14.
After weeks of teasing, punk rock icons Green Day has finally released the official dates for their upcoming major tour celebrating three of their albums. The Saviors Tour will be hitting the road all summer long in 2024 celebrating 30 years of Dookie and 20 years of American Idiot plus Green Day’s new album Saviors. The tour kicks off on July 29 in Washington, DC and is set to conclude on September 28 in San Diego, CA. The North American leg of the tour includes special guests The Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid and The Linda Lindas.
The news follows the release of “Look Ma, No Brains!” the second single from the band’s upcoming album Saviors. The upcoming record will be Green Day’s 14th studio album and is set to release January 19, 2024 via Reprise Records. Saviors also marks a special moment for the band as it will be the first record for the band to own the copyrights since 1991’s Kerplunk. The album was announced on October 24 accompanied by the release of the first single “The American Dream Is Killing Me.”
“We’ve never been more excited to unleash new music than with Saviors, a record that’s meant to be rocked live, together. So let’s thrash,” Green Day remarked in a press release. “We’ve got some amazing friends who are coming along for the ride!”
