Depeche Mode Release New Dark and Droning Song “My Cosmos is Mine”

According to consequence.net rock band Depeche Mode have released their new single “My Cosmos Is Mine,” which comes from the duo’s upcoming album Memento Mori.

“My Cosmos Is Mine” starts with some distant drums playing before Dave Gahan’s passionate vocal performance fills the air with the lyrics  “Don’t play with my world/ Don’t mess with my mind/ Don’t question my spacetime/ My cosmos is mine.”

The way Gahan sings alongs make it sounds like he is talking to a person before the track quickly transitions into a protest anthem. “No final breaths/ No senseless deaths,” Gahan sings near the song’s end, after he begs for “no war” and “no fear.”

Memento Mori will be released March 24 and Depeche Mode have already shared the pervious single  the song “Ghosts Again.”  Memento Mori  Depeche Mode‘s first album in six years and it will be their first since the death of founding keyboardist Andy Fletcher last June.

Also the duo will be celebrating  album’s release with a North American tour this fall. Tickets are available to purchase through Stubhub.
