Los Angeles rock veterans Jane’s Addiction have just revealed new touring plans for the year. As of now, the group is set to play a total of eight shows across the Americas this Spring — five up North in early March and three down South later that same month.
The United States shows will remain in the far Western hemisphere, starting in California, passing through Arizona and concluding in Nevada. All three South American shows—Argentina, Chile and Brazil—will be Lollapalooza sets.
The group made this announcement in a succinct press statement:
“We’re excited to announce that we’ll be on tour again this spring. We’ll be performing a select number of intimate venues and then onto Lollapalooza Brazil, Chile and Argentina.

See you all soon!”
Aside from Jane’s Addiction being the knockout studio and stage acts that it is, two factors in particular make their forthcoming tour a special one. Firstly, this will be guitarist Dave Navarro’s first set of performances back with the group since he was forced to sit out of their tour with Smashing Pumpkins last year due to lengthy battle with the COVID-19. Even though he contracted the coronavirus in December 2021, its effects lingered into this past September, which is when he decided to pull out of the tour. He was replaced by Queens of the Stone Age guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen. Secondly, the Spring tour will also be the first series of live shows since founding member Eric Avery rejoined the band. He played bass on their first two records, Nothing’s Shocking (1988) and Ritual de lo Habitual (1990), which shot them into space, but he hasn’t recorded any new material with them since. With a new Jane’s Addiction album expected to drop this year, Avery’s long-awaited return to the studio with the band will soon come to fruition.
