M83 Shares Creepy New Video Clip Teasing New Music

Electronic music group M83 recently shared a new video clip on Twitter teasing new music. The clip features a dystopian landscape, a creature with five, rather than two, eyeballs and a bird in flight.

The music itself sounds like an ominous build up in a song, hinting at a post rock vibe and possible new album.

M83 was founded in Antibes in 1999 and currently consists of Anthony Gonzalez, Loïc Maurin, Kaela Sinclair, Joe Berry and Jordan Lawlor. The group has been known to make synthpop, new wave, shoegaze and ambient music. The group really rose to fame in 2011 with their iconic single “Midnight City.”

New music typically means tour dates as well, to stay up to date on M83 and their upcoming projects you can check their website and social media’s.

I grew up in the capitol, Springfield before moving to Normal, where I currently reside. I have always had a passion for music for as long as I can remember, starting with One Direction of course. In college I discovered my love for writing and what goes into publishing a piece of writing. I recently worked as a production and editorial assistant in the publication of the chapbook "Time/Tempo: The Idea of Breath" by Laura Cesarco Eglin.
