The Dresden Dolls are finally back! The punk cabaret band announced several shows for this year including a New Year’s Eve small show in Los Angeles, California.
The self-proclaimed Brechtian punk cabaret band finally returns to the stage this year with several live performances. Earlier this fall, the duo announced three consecutive shows in Woodstock, New York. After not being able to celebrate their 21st anniversary last year, the band celebrated their 22nd anniversary with a special announcement. On Oct. 31, 2022, The Dresden Dolls announced a surprise LA show for New Year’s Eve!

The announcement was made via the lead vocalist Amanda Palmer’s social media. The announcement came after the band completely sold out their three consecutive shows in Woodstock, New York. The announcement also specified to fans that the only way to access tickets and the show’s information is to subscribe to the band’s mailing list. The announcement was followed by various clips and teasers of the duo practicing for their on-stage performances.
The Dresden Dolls consists of Amanda Palmer and Brian Viglione, they are mostly recognized for their cabaret and theater aesthetic as well as their extraordinary integral performance arts during live shows. The duo returns to the stage together for the first time in four years and for the first time in the U.S. in five years.
The band has returned stating that they are slowly working on a new album, the first since their 2008 album No, Virginia. The duo has also announced that they are working on composing a full world tour in the future.
