Eric Avery seems to have returned to Jane’s Addiction. In a video on the band’s Twitter page, Avery is seen with leading man Perry Farell in the studio making music. The sound in the video is static feedback, leaving fans anticipating what is to come. Check out the clip below.

With Avery potentially returning, it will be the band’s first time together since 2009. After Avery left the following year, the lineup featured original members Farrell, drummer Stephen Perkins and guitarist Dave Navarro, along with bassist Chris Chaney. With the potential of new music, it will be the band’s first release of new material since 2011’s The Great Escape Artist. Earlier this year, the group recently performed at Brazil’s Lollapalooza with Foo Fighters, Doja Cat and IDLES.

In May, Farrell was joined by The Smashing Pumpkins to perform the Jane Addiction classic “Jane’s Song” on The Howard Stern Show. Both bands will also be touring together this fall, beginning October 2 in Dallas, TX. Meg Myers and Poppy will also be joining the bill on select dates. Tickets for the tour are on sale now and can be purchased on The Smashing Pumpkins’ website.
