Dave Navarro Discusses Experience With Long Covid: “Been Sick Since December”

After having to pull out of Welcome to Rockville last weekend, Janes Addiction’s leading man Dave Navarro spoke out about his experience with the ongoing COVID sickness. In an Instagram post, he writes, “So yeah, I’m one of the ones who came down with the ‘long haul covid.’ Been sick since December and supposedly will be back to my old self in… nobody knows how long. If there are any of you who are still suffering long after your negative results, I’m just saying you aren’t alone.” He also noted that it has been “pretty awful” and has been doing meditation practices to pass the time.

He also noted that he is on his way to recovering from it soon. “…all indicators are pointing to a full recovery at some point!” He then concluded with “Sending you all love and light. Even to those of you who are stoked, I’m sick!” Jane’s Addiction was originally set to play the Welcome to Rockville Festival in Tennessee and was replaced by special reunion set by Porno for Pyros. While the festival had some severe weather conditions, the group still rocked out with some of their hits. It marked their first performance in 24 years. The set included covers of Janes Addiction songs as well as “Porpoise Head, ” “Sadness” and “Porno for Pyros.”
