Johnny Depp Joins Jeff Beck Onstage During UK Show Amid Jury Deliberation On Defamation Suit

Johnny Depp is still a rockstar at heart. While waiting for his defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard, the actor/musician jumped on stage with Jeff Beck yesterday in Sheffield, UK. The duo performed slew of covers including John Lennon’s “Isolation,” which they released as a studio recording in 2020. They also covered Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Going On” and Jimi Hendrix’s “Little Wing.” See the fan footage below.

The jury in his defamation trial began deliberating on Friday in Depp’s ongoing trial against Heard in Fairfax County, Virginia. He is suing the actress for defamation over an op-ed she wrote about coming forward with domestic abuse claims in December 2018. He’s seeking $50 million in damages, claiming that it lost him work. Heard is also countersuing for $100 million for defamation. She claims that the public statements made by Depp’s lawyer Adam Waldman were noted as “fake” and an “abuse hoax” and ruined her reputation and stopped her career.
In 2012, Depp formed a supergroup called the Hollywood Vampires with Alice Cooper and Joe Perry. The group last released its album Rise in June 2019. They also released cover of John Lennon’s “My Generation” in 2015. He has also played with Marilyn Manson and  Ryan Adams.
