Rappers Logic and Russ collaborate on the third single — “Therapy Music” — off of Logic’s upcoming Vinyl Days album, which doesn’t currently have a set release date but is expected in June 2022. Logic’s singles “Decades” and “Tetris” preceded “Therapy Music” along with a music video for “Tetris,” all of which reached audiences on April 22, 2022.

Logic and Russ divide the song in half, each creating a single verse to unload their thoughts that end up complementing if not outright mirroring each other. They each discuss their lives leading up to musical fame, Russ doing so with baseball-themed references: “I finally made it to the field of my dreams/And I let ghost play around/In my head like I’m Ray Liotta…/A Yankee owner, I got stripes in this game.” He describes that he’s earned his stripes in the process of reaching his goals as a musician.
Logic describes his experience in part by how he has been perceived throughout his career: “Money don’t represent my rank/Yeah, Logic rose from jack but even/the Titanic sank.” He likens himself to Jack from the 1997 film Titanic to describe how audiences and critics claimed he had already passed the best part of his career. He also describes his past struggles with being dependent on positive perception: “Used to be addicted to likes by the/likes of people I ain’t even liked/Anxiety, readin’ comments ain’t have/me readin’ right/Trapped in the Matrix, Black Neo.”
Logic, whose real name is Sir Robert Bryson Hall II, announced his retirement in July 2020 following the birth of his son with Brittney Noell. In an Instagram post, the Grammy nominee explained he would enter retirement with the release of No Pressure, his sixth full-length studio album produced by No I.D.
