Tool Performs “Undertow” Live For First Time In Two Decades

Tool perform at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA, USA on 20 October, 2019.

Progressive metal band Tool performed their hit “Undertow” for the first time in 20 years. The song was the namesake of their 1993 album and experienced an unexpected excavation, but it wasn’t the only music to be brought back by the band.

Below fans can listen to the audio from the March 3, 2022 performance of “Undertow,” but the video from the performance has since been taken down.

In other Tool news, the band has recently upset fans by selling an $810 signed vinyl of their 2019 Fear Inoculum album.

Tool also released “Opiate²,” a “reimagined version” of their 1992 EP of the same name. Opiate² will have digital and Blu-Ray short film releases. Also recently, vintage footage turned up of Alice in Chains’ Layne Staley and Tool performing “Opiate.” Tool followers can also listen to this performance below.
