In celebration of her widely popular album 30, pop icon Adele has recently announced a residency in Las Vegas this coming spring. According to Stereogum, most of her shows will be at The Colosseum at Ceasars Palace. The residency will last four months, with concerts being on Fridays and Saturdays from Jan. 12 through April 16. To purchase tickets, fans can now register to become a Ticketmaster Verified Fan until 11:59 PM PT on Dec. 2. Verified fans can then access the presale at 10 PM PT on Tuesday, Dec. 7.
Although she is doing this residency instead of a tour for the album, she is having two live shows in London in July. After Adele released the highly-anticipated album on Nov. 19, it quickly became the best-selling album in the country. Even before the full album was released, “Easy on Me” broke streaming records on Spotify, earning the most day-one streams of any song on the platform. The tracks cover a variety of styles and each tackles the deeply personal and troubling process of dealing with a divorce, which may be why fans feel so connected to her genuine sentiments.
The album may make a good Christmas present as well as a holiday season soundtrack. In a recent Amazon commercial, for example, her song “Hold On” accompanied the story of neighbors taking care of one another during the holidays.
