Duran Duran Release New Song “Tonight United” From Forthcoming Album Future Past

Duran Duran has released “Tonight United” another song that will be featured on his forthcoming album Future Past. On October 22 via Tape Modern is when the new album will be out which can now be pre-ordered.

The band has already released “Anniversary” and “More Joy!” two other songs from Future Past.

“Tonight United” was made by Giorgio Moroder, composer, songwriter and electronic dance music pioneer who added his magic to create an instant future classic. The song was made to bring people back together and giving them a reason to also stand together. There isn’t much lyrically going on, but it does get the message across all the same with just the first 30 seconds.

Simon Le Bon comments on “Tonight United”:”Giorgio Moroder, Duran Duran… this is music for a world that’s coming back together.”

At this year’s Austin City Limits Music Festival, Duran Duran will be playing on stage October 3 and 10. While on September 25 they played “Anniversary” at the Global Citizen Live which is climbing HOT AC and “Tonight United” that had been chosen to be played as theme music for the 24 hour event.

Gasmyne Cox: My name is Gasmyne Cox and I'm an avid reader, gamer, music listener and movie watcher. My major is mass communication with a minor in journalism. While being a senior undergraduate, working with this organization lines up perfectly with what I want to do in the future. Learning has been a huge point in my life and I intend to finish what I start. Aside from all the serious stuff my favorite kinds of music are pop, j-pop, and rap. Also I'm more of a fiction reader I like how I can get lost in other people's creative works. In addition, to that is the games I play are more role-playing, open-world, and solo. The movies I tend to watch vary from what seems interesting to how I'm feeling that day.
