Cold War Kids Take Influence from Bowie on New Song “Wasted All Night”

Cold War Kids have released a new song called “Wasted All Night” from their album New Age Norms 3, which is a part of a trilogy set. New Age Norms 3 will be out September 24.

Frontman Nathan Willett shares his thoughts on the song, which romanticizes a night out “where people can overcome their timidity, embrace strangers and revel in the joy of life. We are still those mammals that are primitive, that want very basic things: to be accepted to live purely in the moment and express ourselves.”

This song was made while finding influence from David Bowie. Bowie has touched many artists lives, and many take that inspiration and turn it into something greater.

On September 21st Cold War Kids will be playing with Kings Of Leon at the Forum and tickets are in the process of being sold. On the 25th of the same month, they will play at the Ohana Festival at Doheny State Beach that first weekend. Tickets for the event are on sale now.

Gasmyne Cox: My name is Gasmyne Cox and I'm an avid reader, gamer, music listener and movie watcher. My major is mass communication with a minor in journalism. While being a senior undergraduate, working with this organization lines up perfectly with what I want to do in the future. Learning has been a huge point in my life and I intend to finish what I start. Aside from all the serious stuff my favorite kinds of music are pop, j-pop, and rap. Also I'm more of a fiction reader I like how I can get lost in other people's creative works. In addition, to that is the games I play are more role-playing, open-world, and solo. The movies I tend to watch vary from what seems interesting to how I'm feeling that day.
