Noel Gallagher has recently gone on the record to say that he wishes he had stuck around at Oasis’ last gig long enough to perform on stage. The concert had been set to be at Paris’ Rock En Seine on August 28, 2009, however, Gallagher had walked out prior to the show, with Oasis breaking up just shortly before the performance.
“We were getting pissed and fighting and then me going: ‘Fuck it, I’m going home, fuck off!’” Gallagher had said in an interview with the Daily Star. “With the benefit of time, I don’t know whether it would have been better to stay and do the gig which would have been like a monumental, mad fucking Oasis gig because the fight would have carried on to the stage, maybe not the physical fighting but the verbals between us. It would have been a mad gig.”
Gallagher continued to explain that he had been arguing with his brother, Liam Gallagher’s clothing line. Noel Gallagher had been annoyed that ads for the clothing brand, titled Pretty Green, had been inside of the band’s tour programs. However, Noel Gallagher has said he wished “had the memory of that gig. That would have been the way to go out.”
“I’d never had enough of Oasis – I’d had enough of him,” Gallagher continued. “I didn’t think it was right for him to be flogging his gear to our fans. There was a massive row about it. It slowly went downhill after that.”
Despite the infamous feud between the Gallagher brothers, The Guardian had reported in February taht they have registered a joint film production company. Liam Gallagher performed a live stream concert featuring some of his solo material and Oasis songs last year. Noel Gallagher had shared a previously unreleased Oasis song titled “Don’t Stop” last year as well. Liam Gallgher had recently taken to Twitter to hint towards the upcoming joint production company he shares with his brother.
