Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder will be performing at the 2020 edition of The Game Awards, which will be streamed for free on December 10, starting at 3:30 p.m. This award show will be broadcast on over 45 different platforms, which are all listed on the event’s website.
The Game Awards have already announced their nominees, which include the likes of The Last of Us Part II, Hades, Ghost of Tsushima, Final Fantasy VII Remake and Doom Eternal. Fans can vote for their favorite games on the event’s website as well, which hosts a number of categories.
It’s been a busy year for Vedder, who debuted two new songs “Matter Of Time” and “Say Hi” less than two weeks ago and the instrumental song “Cartography” alongside remix done by Nick Zinner of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs back in September. The performer also teamed up with famed rock outfit Red Hot Chili Peppers to take on songs from legendary musicians Prince and Jimi Hendrix.
Vedder also enlisted the likes of Alessia Cara, Billie Eilish, Glen Hansard, Adam Levine and Willie Nelson for the Venture Into Cures live stream, which took place on November 18. This benefit was made to help support those suffering from Epidermolysis Bullosa, commonly known as EB.
Pearl Jam has been busy this year as well, debuting previously unreleased music for the compilation Good Music to Avert The Collapse of American Democracy, Volume 2, which also features David Byrne and Little Dragon. The band will also be performing at Sea.Hear.Now next year.
