Catch Rammstein’s North American Stadium Tour at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum 9/18/21

German metal band Rammstein are embarking on a North American tour in 2021. Their initial tour was scheduled to take place in 2020 following the release of their 2019 self-titled album. The tour was postponed on year due to Covid-19, with the Los Angeles date at the Memorial Coliseum scheduled for September 18, 2021. The announcement of their new tour dates took place around the same time that the band’s singer Till Lindeman was hospitalized in the ICU. However, he tested negative for COVID-19.

Rammstein’s self-titled release was their first new album in over a decade. Singles such as “Radio” and “Deutschland” spearheaded the album, which pushed their sound into more experimental territory while still remaining true to their German heavy metal roots. Since Covid-19 hit, the band have shared that they are also working on new material. Drummer Christoph Schneider shares “We still have so many ideas lying around, so many unfinished songs. We met and we’re working on new songs. We want to work on songs, but whether it’s going to be a new record, nobody knows.”

As their fans say, “Other bands play, Rammstein burns!” describing Rammstein’s over-the-top performances, which typically include liberal use of pyrotechnics. If that’s not crazy enough for you, in the late ’90s, their live performance stunts have landed them in prison for indecent exposure and simulated sodomy. Have Rammstein simmered down in their current years? Grab your tickets to the show and find out!
