Amyl and The Sniffers Are Making The Trip From Down Under to Underground Arts

Amyl and The Sniffers, the Australian pub/punk rock group, will be coming through to Philadelphia on October 18. This group was formed as recently as 2016 and they’ve already made a name for themselves in the industry. They burst onto the scene with their debut, self-titled album in 2019. It is the only full-length album they have released but it has received a lot of praise from professionals and the industry as a whole. The LP won Best Rock Album at the 2019 ARIA Music Awards.

The group consists of: Amy Taylor (vocals), Bryce Wilson (drums), Dec Martens (guitar) and Fergus Romer (bass). Taylor, Wilson and Martens were all former housemates and they formed the group with Calum Newton, who is no longer with the band. I highly recommend you go check out Amyl and The Sniffers if you haven’t heard of them. If you don’t have time to listen to their full album, check out I’m Not a Loser, Got You, or Monsoon Rock to get a feel for their style and sound. They are still scheduled to come to Philly in October of this year, but keep an eye out in case the status of the concert changes closer to the date. The show is at 9.
