Come Vibe With Fu Manchu on March 18 at Underground Arts

Fu Manchu is a stoner rock band out of Southern California, formed in 1985. Fu Manchu originally formed as a hardcore punk band by the name of Virulence. Many members have come in and out, with a total of eight past members. The current lineup is as follows: Scott Hill (guitar/vocals), Bob Balch (guitar), Brad Davis (bass/backing vocals) and Scott Reeder (drums/backing vocals).

To date, they have released a respectable 12 albums, with a large collection of EPs, singles and live albums. They still have a hardcore attitude and sound, but the differences between their early and recent work are apparent. Their first releases had huge riffs and far more vocals and screaming. They still have an up-tempo and hardcore feel, but their music often goes into tangents, going slow to fast and then hitting you with an amazing guitar solo. They definitely know how to put on a show so I hope to see you at Underground Arts on March 18! The show is at 9:00.
