Swans 6/9 Regent Theater Performance rescheduled to 2/2/21

New York experimental noise rock group Swans is yet another band who announced a Spring 2020 tour that is now being pushed to 2021. Their Leaving Meaning tour with special guest Anna Von Hausswolff will instead begin in late January and make a stop on February 2, 2021 in Los Angeles at the Regent Theater.

Michael Gira re-vamped the lineup of Swans for the production of his 15th full-length album Leaving Meaning, their first album since the release of their trilogy of albums The Seer, To Be Kind, and The Glowing Man. The collaborations with Anna Von Hausswolff, Ben Frost and the Necks make for unexpected, minimalist production. Leaving Meaning is departure from their usual heavy, pummeling sound, into an ethereal yet creepy one.

Their live performances have been described as lengthly, loud and blistering. A typical performance can last mover two hours with no breaks, and that’s just from playing five songs. Gira leads the band and can often be seen pounding his guitar and chanting into the mic.

Here’s hoping that 2021’s performance will be a true experience, bringing a bit of the old in with the new! Catch their show at the Regent Theater and experience Swans for yourself! Tickets are now available.

Location: The Regent Theater

Address: 448 S Main St, Los Angeles, CA 90013
