Widespread Panic Performing for ACL Live Three Nights in a Row 7/23, 7/24 & 7/25

The highly celebrated jam band Widespread Panic is going on tour this summer starting out with three days of performances at Austin’s very own ACL Live at The Moody Theater. They will be playing shows on Thursday, July 23rd, Friday, July 24th and Saturday, July 25th, all of which are unsurprisingly sold out, but no worries if you haven’t snagged a ticket. You can still watch the performances when they air on KLRU. Doors will be opening on all three nights at 6:30pm with the shows set to begin at 8pm.

Widespread Panic formed officially in 1985 out of Athens, Georgia and is currently comprised of singer/guitarist John Bell, bassist Dave Schools, guitarist Jimmy Herring, drummer Duane Trucks, percussionist Domingo “Sunny” Ortiz and keyboardist John “JoJo” Hermann. There’s a lot to love with a vast lineup like that! Widespread Panic’s southern psychedelic rock is infused with smooth jazz and undertones of blues, creating their iconic laid-back and groovy sound. They released their debut LP Space Wrangler in 1988 and began their streak of extensive touring, selling out packed stadiums and putting on unforgettable performances. They have released twelve studio albums in total and have been rocking around the globe for three decades and counting. Throughout their entire musical career and even now they remain open-minded about future ambitions as a band. Don’t miss them on ACL Live this summer!
