Rammstein Returns to Los Angeles for a Massive Show in the Coliseum

A quick primer to this article, the lead singer of Rammstein, Till Lindemann, is currently in the ICU in a Berlin hospital with COVID-19. Reporters have stated that he is not in any danger and that he has stabilized and is improving quickly. It is our hope that Lindemann, and any others afflicted with coronavirus/COVID-19 have a speedy recovery and are able to resume normal life as quickly as possible.

If you haven’t heard of Rammstein, you’re either very young or living under a rock. Back in the mid/early 2000’s they took over the world with their track “Du Hast” and though that is what many people know them for, they have a long history of influencing the German industrial scene.

Those in the know are aware that the German industrial scene is one of the most important areas of music. It was Germany that introduced the world to the sizzling combination of metal instrumentation and hard techno. This combination would go on to influence groups like Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails, and countless other industrial acts.

Rammstein, as the most popular band in this scene, didn’t just do a more accessible version of what everyone else did, they grabbed the genre by the horns and applied their own spin to it. Their aggressive metal approach certainly won them fans throughout the metal realm, but their willingness to get weird both on and offstage in their musical choices made them an act incapable of ignoring.

This September, provided the COVID-19 situation is adequately resolved, Rammstein will take over the Coliseum in Los Angeles to deliver a show for the ages.
