Man Man Releases Quirky New Video for “Future Peg”

Los Angeles based experimental rock band Man Man just released the visuals for their song “Future Peg,” a single from their upcoming album Dream Hunting in the Valley of the In-Between, which will be released on May 1st of this year. The video begins with a woman looking to rent an apartment, and after shocking herself on a wall outlet, encounters strange characters and quirky dietary choices in a two minute, trippy experience for the viewer. The visuals perfectly accompany the quirky and playful nature of the song, as the visuals, which out of context would seem awkward and uncomfortable, only seem appropriate in this setting.

Dream Hunting in the Valley of the In-Between will be Man Man’s sixth studio album since the band’s first album released in 2004, and the most recent album since On Oni Pond dropped in 2013. While the band originally planned to tour following the release of the album, they are in the process of rescheduling due to the coronavirus pandemic.

While Man Man has not released any new music as a band since 2013, the band’s lead singer, songwriter, and lyricist, Honus Honus, has kept busy working on solo projects. The artist released his debut solo album Use Your Delusion in 2016, and collaborated with Nicholas Thorburn of Islands and Joe Plummer of Modest Mouse/The Shins on 2017 project under the band name Mister Heavenly.

Drew Feinerman: I have just completed my senior at the University of Michigan majoring in international studies with an emphasis in political economics and development, with a minor in Chinese language and culture, and I have recently been accepted into the Berklee School of Music's masters of music business program. Although my academic interests include economics, political science, and history, I consider music to be my one true passion. Music is, and has always been, a driving force for the way I think and act every day of my life. I have been playing the tenor saxophone since the age of ten, and playing an instrument at a high level has allowed me to only further my understanding and appreciation for music. While I grew up listening to predominantly classic rock, I soon found myself gravitating toward jazz, hip-hop, funk, and other genres, as my learned to both play and analyze music as a listener. As a writer, I am able to apply my skills both as a musician and a listener, and look forward to the opportunity to being able to express my thoughts on various stories in the music industry.
