Bear Hands Will Be Rocking Out At Underground Arts March 5

This post-punk and indie rock band hails from Brooklyn, NY and have been around since their formation in 2006. The band consists of Dylan Rau (vocals and guitar), Val Loper (bass), Ted Feldman (guitar), and TJ Orscher (drums). Upon the release of their breakout hit, What a Drag, in 2010 the group signed with Cantora Records. They have since released a total of 4 studio albums. They released their debut LP that same year, titled Burning Bush Supper Club, and began touring as the opening act for groups such as Passion Pit, Gza, and We Were Promised Jetpacks.

Their next album, Distraction (2014), and specifically Giants, the sit single on the LP propelled gave them a whole new level of exposure. The song reached the top 10 on the Alternative songs chart in mid-2014. After releasing their newest album, Fake Tunes, in early 2019 the group opened up for the sensation Twenty One Pilots on their Bandito Tour. Bear Hands will now be embarking on their own tour across the nation to promote their newest album, accompanied by the five-member rock group, IRONTOM. This newest album is consistent with their alternative, almost rebellious style and attitude that got them to this point. Their beats are on point and high tempo, and their lyrics tie it all together, adding a message and purpose to each song, and the album as a whole. Make sure to get your tickets while they’re cheap for a night at the Union Transfer, one of the premiere venues in the city complete with 3 bars.
