2020’s festival season is in full effect. BottleRock Napa Valley has revealed their well-curated lineup with headlining sets from Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dave Matthews Band and Stevie Nicks. Other acts include Miley Cyrus, Khalid, Empire of the Sun, Foals, Maggie Rogers, Brandi Carlile and Anderson .Paak and the Free Nationals. The three-day festival will happen over memorial day weekend, May 22-24 at the Napa Valley Expo. Passes for the festival will go on sale tomorrow, January 7th at 10am PST. With Napa Valley known for their great tasting wine, the festival will also provide delicious foods from world-renowned chefs, craft beer, a bourbon bar and craft cocktails. 2020 maks the festivals 8th edition, with last year’s lineup featuring Imagine Dragons, Mumford and Sons, and Neil Young, who continued to play past the festival’s curfew. Previous lineups have included No Doubt, LL Cool J, The Cure, Stevie Wonder, OutKast and Public Enemy to name a few.
2020 headliner Red Hot Chili Peppers recently announced that their former guitarist John Frusciante will be returning to the band in place of Josh Klinghoffer. The band released a statement via social media stating “The Red Hot Chili Peppers announce that we are parting ways with our guitarist of the past 10 years, Josh Klinghoffer. Josh is a beautiful musician who we respect and love. We are deeply grateful for our time with him, and the countless gifts he shared with us. We also announce, with great excitement and full hearts, that John Frusciante is rejoining our group.”
