Shortly after announcing their new album “Get The Money” last week, Taylor Hawkins & the Coattail Riders have unleashed the track of the same name. The song features the great Chrissie Hynde, Joe Walsh, and Duff McKagan and is the second song released from their upcoming album, following “Crossed The Line.” Check out the song below.
Get The Money, the album is set to be released Nov. 8 via Shanabelle/RCA Records and serves as the follow up to the band’s 2010 effort, Red Light Fever. It includes ten tracks with featured collaborations with fellow bandmate Dave Grohl, Pat Smear, Roger Taylor, Nancy Wilson, Perry Farell, and Leann Rimes. Fans can preorder the album here.
Hawkins launched the band in 2004 and includes Chris Chaney on bass, Gannin Arnold and Nate Wood. They released their self-titled debut album in 2006 with 11 tracks. After the band’s sophomore release, Hawkins went on to create his other side-project, The Birds of Satan, which the band spawned one self-titled album released in 2014.
In 2016, Hawkins released his first solo album, KOTA.
As a member of Foo Fighters, the band recently released a surprise NewLive EP in celebration of Area 51 Raid Day. The album was recorded in Roswell, New Mexico at the Walker Air Force Base, which is known for an alleged alien spacecraft crash in 1947. Only 500 contest winners attended the intimate set.
