The September 20th Area 51 event, created originally on Facebook just a few months ago, titled “Area 51, They Can’t Stop All of US” involved people who were fed up with not knowing what was going on behind the gates of the government facility Area 51. Everyone was planning on “Naruto running” past the guards of the secretive government-run facility to see what hides within its walls. It appears that this event has not been one of a riot nature, but has been one of cultural importance.
When people started to appear over the past few days at the event site there was no question that this event was going to be relatively smaller than expected. With over 2 million people confirming that they were going to the event on Facebook, the state of Nevada brought in extra law enforcement to help assist with the predicted mob. The name of the event is now the “Official Alienstock Tour”, and includes a performance by Paul Oakenfold at the Basecamp. With over 2 million followers on the page, it is predicted that only 30,000 will show.
