Decibel Metal and Beer Fest Philly Announces 2020 Lineup Featuring Converge, Pig Destroyer and Napalm Death Performing Special Full Album Sets

The Philadelphia edition of the Decibel Metal and Beer Fest, has announced its date and line-up, taking place from April 3-4, 2020, at The Fillmore. This festival will feature performances from Converge, Pig Destroyer, Napalm Death, in addition to Mayhem, Satan, Night Demon, Haunt,

The festival will also hold special performances, with Converge, Pig Destroyer and Napalm Death scheduled to perform some albums in full. Converge are set to play, 2001’s Jane Doe, Pig Destroyer will play 2001’s Prowler in the Yard in full for the first time, while Napalm Death will perform a one-time-only set of 1990’s Harmony Corruption and 1992’s Utopia Banished.

Tickets will be available for pre-sale this Thursday, starting at 10 a.m. Eastern Time(ET). Limited two-day passes go on-sale as Early Bird Beer & Metal passes this Friday at 10 a.m. ET as well. The public on-sale begins Friday, November 22 at 10 a.m. (ET).

Converge surprise released their EP Beautiful Ruin last year, which debuted alongside music video for the track “Melancholia,” featured on the four-track EP. “That whole experiment was about exploring material that already existed and playing it for people in a way we didn’t get a chance to as a four-piece band,” the band’s vocalist Jacob Bannon explained in an interview.

Pig Destroyer recently performed at the Northwest Terror Fest earlier this year, alongside acts such as Bongripper and Dorthia Cottrell of Windhand.

Napalm Death revealed plans to release new album in 2020 back in June. Their most recent album Apex Predator – Easy Meat, was released in 2015.

UPDATE (10/30): Decibel Metal and Beer Philly has announced two new bands for its 2020 edition. Black metal band Abbath featuring the former Immortal guitarist and Portland, OR gothic metal band Idle Hands. Check out the updated flyer below.
