Kllo is the Australian electronic-pop duo consisting of Simon Lam and Chloe Kaul and they’ve got a new album in the works for release next year. Today they’re sharing the first new song from that album, a track called “Back to You.” The new single is being released by Ghostly International
It’s been a bit of time since the duo last released music – in 2018 they released two singes, “Candid” and “Potential.” Those two singles followed their 2017 debut Backwater, which established the pair as a rising act in the alternative R&B and indietronica scenes. “Back To You” is firmly rooted in the early 2000s, using an old sampler on the song’s main riff and cassettes filling in throughout the song.
“We’d spent some time in LA recently, and being there reminded us of the ‘American sound’ that we both grew up with,” said Kaul. “‘Back To You’ is a good insight into what’s to come in our next body of work.”
