Kanye West Unveils Gospel Reworking Of No Doubt Smash Hit “Don’t Speak” at Sunday Service

Kanye West and the people of his church surprised singer songwriter Gwen Stefani with a reworking of No Doubt’s song “Don’t Speak” last Sunday. At the Sunday Service, “Don’t Speak” was transformed into “Lord Speaks” which was a gospel approach to the traditionally alternative rock song. Stefani took to Twitter to share her appreciation for the rendition and shared a short 42 second snippet of it. The singer also tweeted at Kim Kardashian asking to send her the whole video. Kardashian tweeted back with a heart emoji. See the exchange and video below:

On a related note, the rapper has been known for his appreciation and celebration of church and gospel music. West held a Sunday Service at Coachella on Easter Morning and had a number of people sing gospel songs, covers of his work, and different spirituals. Additionally a church choir came out to open the service. More recently, West has been lobbying President Donald Trump to reach out to the Swedish government about A$AP Rocky and his harassment case.
