Playboi Carti @ Fox Theater Pomona 4/17

AWGE rapper Playboi Carti is slated to perform in Pomona the week between his Coachella performances. Cash Carti’s show will take place at the Fox Theater on Wednesday, April 17th. Tickets for the event range from $39.50 to $50. It must be noted that there is a six ticket limit per household; those who purchase more than six tickets may have their purchases forfeited. Doors open at 7:00 PM, with sounds initiating at 8:00 PM. This show is available to all ages.

Playboi Carti is a young star that arose from the strong SoundCloud community of “mumble” rappers. Now signed to A$AP Rocky’s label AWGE and Interscope Records, Carti has proven just how successful a SoundCloud rapper can be. His debut studio album from last year entitled Die Lit featured various prominent artists in the game. With tracks featuring Skepta, Nicki Minaj, Young Thug, and many more, Die Lit was an absolute smash. Catchy melodies and powerful 808s play a huge role in Carti’s sound. Carti has been known to assign the talented producer Pierre Bourne to achieve this signature sound on many occurrences. The worldwide hit single Magnolia accurately depicts the potential that these two have together in the studio.

With Carti’s Coachella performances just around the corner, a second studio album is anticipated to release soon. For those unable to witness Carti at Coachella, this is the perfect show for you.

Julian Pino: I'm a recent graduate with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business. I graduated from California State University Channel Islands in Camarillo, California, but I now reside in Los Angeles. I'm very passionate about music and have been trying to involve myself with the culture surrounding it for as long as I can remember. I was recently fortunate enough to work with the thriving new multi-channel network, Create Music Group where I learned many new things about the music industry. Here, I acquired several skills regarding music monetization and even became certified in YouTube Content Ownership. When I'm not working on the clock I usually spend my time finding new music. As a DJ/producer, I take pride in discovering new artists and different types of genres. I recently started a project where I intend to support and share new artists on social media so that they're getting the recognition that they deserve. I also make an effort to attend local shows whether the performers are superstar artists or aspiring artists. Ultimately, I aim to positively impact the community of artists and listeners that are as impassioned about music as I am.
