Electro-funk kings Chromeo are slated to have a special performance in Los Angeles at the beginning of next year. Their show will take place at Exchange LA on Friday, January 18th. The Canadian duo will be switching it up and instead perform on some CDJs for the night. Their DJ set will receive support from Angeleno DJ duo, DJ Dodger Stadium (DJDS), in the evening. General admission  tickets will be $20 while VIP tickets will be $90, both with some additional fees. Initial sounds and entrance to the event will begin at 10:00 PM and the event will last until 3:00 AM. The event is for those that are 21 years old or older.

Chromeo, which consists of David “Dave 1” Macklovitch and Patrick “P-Thugg” Gemayel, got their start in 2002. Dave 1 takes his role on the guitar and lead vocals while P-Thugg works his magic on the keyboards, synthesizers, bass guitar, and talk box. The duo has had several hits throughout their career and have performed at many popular festivals. Their tracks Fancy Footwork and Night by Night are just a few of the bangers they’ve created that left an everlasting impression on the listeners. Their more recent album entitled Head Over Heels consisted of their signature danceable funk sound and featured influential artists such as  The-Dream, French Montana, Stefflon Don, DRAM, and Amber Mark.

With support from talented DJ icons DJDS, Chromeo will undoubtably have a fun and memorable show. Hit the link below to purchase your tickets to witness your favorite electro-funk duo take on the 1s and 2s.

Julian Pino: I'm a recent graduate with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business. I graduated from California State University Channel Islands in Camarillo, California, but I now reside in Los Angeles. I'm very passionate about music and have been trying to involve myself with the culture surrounding it for as long as I can remember. I was recently fortunate enough to work with the thriving new multi-channel network, Create Music Group where I learned many new things about the music industry. Here, I acquired several skills regarding music monetization and even became certified in YouTube Content Ownership. When I'm not working on the clock I usually spend my time finding new music. As a DJ/producer, I take pride in discovering new artists and different types of genres. I recently started a project where I intend to support and share new artists on social media so that they're getting the recognition that they deserve. I also make an effort to attend local shows whether the performers are superstar artists or aspiring artists. Ultimately, I aim to positively impact the community of artists and listeners that are as impassioned about music as I am.
