Weezer @ The Met 12/12

American rock band Weezer will be one of the opening performances at the newly renovated Met on N. Broad when it reopens this winter. The show will become the building’s third on December 12th, and will also feature folk band Mt. Joy as an opener. Although the band will not be stopping in Philly on their Spring 2019 tour, we will still get a taste before night to night shows start in March.

Weezer has been busy as of late, releasing a new single “Can’t Knock The Hustle” and announcing their newest project “The Black Album”, coming in early 2019. The new single is an interesting new Weezer that we have yet to see, and comes with a music video featuring Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy.. Weezer’s last album “Pacific Daydream”, released last year, seemed to be their first step towards a new more pop-esque identity. The band that became popular in the early 90s has certainly showed a wide array of talent that will surely be on display this holiday season. Pre-sale tickets are on sale now, so don’t hesitate to secure your’s.
