Fans have been anticipating Lauryn Hill’s Miseducation Tour ever since the singer announced the dates earlier this year, with killer lineup and a killer setlist that would encompass her groundbreaking debut record The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. However, fans were disappointed that at a recent tour stop in Portland, neither Santigold or Nas performed on their opening slots. Brooklyn Vegan has reported that both Santigold and Nas have been removed as the openers for the remaining dates they were supposed to perform on. Santigold took to Twitter to explain that the promoter had decided to reduce the support for the tour.

The Miseducation tour was marred by problems before it even began as Hill had to cancel the start of the tour due to production issues. Hill has also been engaged in war of words in the press with Robert Glasper, who accused Hill of stealing much of the music for Miseducation from the group of musicians known as New Ark, with Hill refuting his claims.

Recent reviews of the tour have been mixed, with some fans bemoaning the decision to radically alter the original songs from the album, while others have praised Hill and her band for mixing it up.
