Blood Orange Shares Self Directed Music Video for “Saint”

Devonté Hynes, who is better known as his stage name, Blood Orange, shared the music video for his brand new single, “Saint” today. The song appears on the artist’s fourth studio album, Negro Swan, which dropped this past Friday, August 24th. Hynes directed the music video which features appearances from Indya Moore (FX’s “Pose”), Kai the Black Angel, Ana Kraš, and others.

The video for “Saint” begins with a shot of the streets, it then moves upward into a studio pulling the focus to a hand on a keyboard as it opens the song. The rest of the clip is of Hynes performing the song in a home studio as friends gather around watching the magic unfold. It is an intimate gathering, and the visuals shows with multiple close-ups of fingers caressing instruments, moving keys on the soundboard. Friends watch as they eat pizza and smoke cigarettes, it is a gathering that fans of Hynes would love to join in on. Watch the music video for “Saint” down below.

Hynes is gearing up to go on the road in support of Negro Swan. The upcoming Fall tour will begin September 14th with a performance at the Westward Music Festival in Vancouver. He will continue the tour making stops in cities like Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, New York, Toronto, Austin, London and much more. The tour will conclude on November 8th across the pond in Copenhagen. Hynes will also make multiple appearances at other Music Festivals throughout the tour including Life is Beautiful Festival in Las Vegas, Pitchfork Music Festival in Paris, Club to Club Festival in Turin and Iceland Airwaves Festival in Reykjavík.
