Redbone singer Childish Gambino is slated to perform at The Forum as part of his North American tour. The multitalented artist will also be receiving support from popular rap group Rae Sremmurd throughout these scheduled shows. This is the first tour for Childish Gambino since the release of his Grammy nominated album Awaken, My Love! from 2016. The musician’s show at The Forum will be on Wed. September 26th, with the first performance beginning at 7:30 PM. Standard tickets for the show will be priced at $79.50 while platinum tickets will start at $202.94.
Although recently announcing his retirement from music, Childish Gambino (also known as Donald Glover), released yet another top charting single this past May. The track This Is America was praised all over the world ranking in at number one in several music charts, including Billboard’s Hot 100. While the song itself is certainly catchy and enjoyable, the music video for the track is what created most of the buzz. Several visual messages were strategically placed throughout the video, which were interpreted to depict issues occurring in America. This single worked greatly in Childish Gambino’s favor and only heightened anticipation for his last and final album.
While being involved in several other projects, including Star Wars spinoff Solo, it’s understandable that Donald Glover is shying away from his music career to focus on other things. The busy and artistic musician has shown that he’s always going to be involved in something great, whether it be in film, comedy, or music. It is without a doubt that Childish Gambino will be missed in the music world, however, there is still some time to catch the artist before his departure.
