Johnny Marr has recently released a song “Hi Hello.” This follows the artist’s release of the music video for “The Priest” and the upcoming release of Call The Comet.

As mentioned by Consequence of Sound, Marr said in a press release that the latest single “one of the songs that just fell into my hands and mind as I was playing.” He also adds that “the tune evoked something natural so I just followed it and it felt like I had to sing something personal, something we might all feel about someone sometime.”

The song follows a resemblance to The Smiths’ Queen is Dead. Fans have also pointed out that there is a resemblance in the instrumentals of “There Is A Light That Never Goes Out.”

Directed by Mat Bancroft and Johnny Marr, the video features the artist walking through a park and performing in a gazebo. The video can be watched below.
