Pale Waves Release Breathtaking New Song “My Obsession”

Following their recent launch of “New Year’s Eve” music video, Pale Waves have just released an emotional new song “My Obsession,” the second track off their upcoming EP New Year’s Eve. The new track first appeared on Zane Lowe’s World Record on Apple Music’s Beats 1 Station. It’s a slower tempo tune with an emphasis on string over synth, with a heavy popping snare on the chorus carrying the bands same gloomy tendencies. The indie pop band have also been shortlisted for the prestigious BBC Sound of 2018, VEVO DSCVR’s “Artist To Watch in 2018,” Marie Claire’s “8 Rising Musicians” list and the DIY “Class of 2018.”

Pale Waves have also announced a string of sold out January dates. The Manchester native group is led by members Heather Baron-Gracie (vocals, guitar), her best friend Ciara Doran (drums), Hugo Silvani (guitar) and Charlie Wood (bass). Their debut EP New Year Eve is set to release January 18th via Dirty Hit and is available to pre-order on the Dirty Hit official online store. Listen to “My Obsession” below.

Amber Washington: Graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, majored in Media & Professional Communication. I play tennis and am always on the lookout for new music, very grateful for Apple Music. I composed music for a few months in college while living in New York which further sparked my passion for a career in the music industry. Live music is one of my all time favorite things to experience; First Avenue is my favorite venue, might be bias since I was born and raised in Minnesota. Happy ears, happy years.
