Belly Announce PledgeMusic Campaign for First New Album in 23 Years Set for April 2018 Release

The 90’s Boston group are back with new music after 23 years. According to Stereogum, indie band Belly have announced a PledgeMusic Campaign for their new album set to release in April 2018 following their reunion tour last year. Belly was formed in 1992 by Tanya Donelly and had their first debut, Star in 1993. They made it onto mainstream pop radio with the band’s release of “Feed the Tree.” Regardless of their strong start, Belly never became an authentic big name, and when their 1995 album King fell flat, the band broke up. Luckily, songs from King inspired additional recording sessions and ultimately led to their third album.

In early 2016, the band announced that they were working on some new material and were planning to tour that year. The new album is available to pre-order along with other merchandise. Belly is donating a portion of all their proceeds from the album towards hurricane relief in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Amber Washington: Graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, majored in Media & Professional Communication. I play tennis and am always on the lookout for new music, very grateful for Apple Music. I composed music for a few months in college while living in New York which further sparked my passion for a career in the music industry. Live music is one of my all time favorite things to experience; First Avenue is my favorite venue, might be bias since I was born and raised in Minnesota. Happy ears, happy years.
