This morning, Los Angeles pop rock group HAIM announced North American dates on their forthcoming tour. Once they’ve finished up the Australian and UK leg of the tour, HAIM will be playing standalone shows in major American cities and British Columbia, as well as five different festivals. This news precedes the release of their sophomore album, “Something To Tell You”, coming next Friday, June 7th.
HAIM has been gaining traction since 2012, when they released their first EP, “Forever.” The digital release quickly garnered them a record deal, and carried them to their critically-acclaimed 2013 album, “Days Are Gone.” This album managed to reach the top-ten charts in many countries, even reaching the number one spot in the UK, which is incredibly rare for a band’s first full release. In the wake of this success, many wondered what would be up next for the Grammy-nominated Haim sisters.
First hinting at a new release in late 2016, HAIM has been doing a fantastic job at hyping the release of, “Something To Tell You.” After continued hints, the band finally made an official announcement in April, alongside billboard advertisements around the world. Just a couple days ago, they even dropped a video for the album’s first single, Want You Back. The promotion will continue this Thursday, the 29th, when they make their The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon debut.
Tickets will be available for presale via Songkick on Wednesday, June 28 at 10 am PST, followed by general on-sale on Friday, June 30 at 10am PST here: haimtheband.com/members.
