Many people might go as far as to say that Radiohead’s album OK Computer was one of the best, if not the best album of the 90’s. Some say the album predicted the future and others just extremely vibe with the album and have from the moment it was released. After quite few teasers , the band has finally announced that the remastered reissue of the hit album is on its way, as Quietus reports . This marks the 20th anniversary of the album’s release so it is exciting to see that they are going to release something for such a huge milestone of the album.
The title of this re-release will be OKNOTOK. This will of course feature the original album in all of its 90’s glory but will also be featuring a collection of B-sides. There is also going to be three never before released tracks entitled “I Promise,” “Lift” and “Man Of War,” all available in studio form for the first time ever.
You can pre-order the album now and it will be released on June 23rd which lines up close to the original release of the album back in 1997. The box set edition of the record will feature three 12″ records as well as a book containing more than 30 artworks, a lot of them which have never been shown to fans before. There will also be a notebook of 104 pages from Thom Yorke’s library of some scratched drawings of the time. There will even be a sketchbook with 48 pages of Donwood and Tchock’s pre-work related to the album and cassette mixtape compiled by the band which includes stuff from the studio during the recording of OK Computer as well as some other demos.
