TEEN, Speedy Ortiz, Hinds and More To Contribute Covers Cover Your Ass, Vol. 1 Compilation for Planned Parenthood

Female pop band TEEN, Spanish indie band Hinds, singer/songwriter Cass McCombs, American Indie band Speedy Ortiz, pop duo The Lemon Twigs, rock band Deerhoof, Sythpop band Porches, Cut Worms, and (Sandy) Alex G are just some of the many names who are working on this Planned Parenthood benefit CD, Brooklyn Vegan reports.  The proceeds from this album will benefit Planned Parenthood minus bare production costs of the CD.

The title is Cover Your Ass Vol. 1 and will be released on May 26th. Deerhoof’s version of Public Enemy’s “Fight the Power” will be appearing on the album as well.

Song title’s include names like “Druglord Landlord,” and others that prove to be making a bold statement to this country.
