This year’s festival will include Kamasi Washington, who was a part of Camp Flog Gnaw, Dirty Projectors, who’s recently released their album The Dirty Projectors, and Thursdays, who reunited in show in 2016.

Northside Festival is an annual festival held in Brookyln, New York. This  festival started in 2009 and had 50 artists performing. The festival has a wide range of genres such as hip-hop, electronic and indie-rock. Previous artists who have headlined are Iceage, Theophilus London and Deertick.

This year’s main headlines will be Dirty Projectors, Miguel, Kamasi Washington and Thursday. According to the Fader, there will also be a number of guest speakers that will hold keynote talks, interviews, panels, and more. The portion of the money gained from this festival will go to the Open Space Alliance for North Brooklyn, which is a nonprofit dedicated to building a stronger North Brooklyn by improving 45 parks and playgrounds.
