New Politics @ City National Civic 8/16

Danish Rockers New Politics are rolling into the Bay this summer! The trio will be playing the City National Civic in San Jose on August 16th. They are touring all summer alongside rock band 311, who is headlining the tour throughout North America.

New Politics hit the North American music scene in a big way back in 2010 with their single Yeah Yeah Yeah, but had found success back in Europe beforehand. Recently, the band dropped their latest single One of Us earlier this month after being on a hiatus for about a year. The band’s first album which was self-titled, came out in 2010 and their aforementioned single blew up on the radio. Other songs from that that also successful were Dignity and Give Me Hope. Their sophomore album A Bad Girl In Harlem came out in 2013 and blew up even more. The album’s single Harlem was another hit and the other songs that hit the airwaves heavy were Tonight You’re Perfect, Stuck On You, and Fall Into These Arms. The band gained momentum and in 2015 they released their third and latest album Vikings. Once again, the band hit the sweet spot in music and dominated their radio with their songs. Hits from that album include Everywhere I Go (Kings and Queens), West End Kids, Girl Crush, and Stardust. The band’s sound can be described as pop-rock with a mix of electronic dance. Their songs are fun, interesting, and some of the best to dance to. I’ve seen this band perform and, let me tell you, they put on a show. The band is personable, funny, amazing live, and their lead singer busts into some crazy cool b-boy moves.

Fans of Neon Trees, Bleachers, and Walk The Moon will be into this show and band. They all share that alternative rock sound that’s fun to dance to. This band kills it everytime they perform and couple that knowledge with that they are only the openers for the kickass band 311, man this show is gonna be sick. Grab a ticket and don’t miss out!
